Michele Garnes was born on December 1, 1958, to the late George and Almeda Garnes in Dayton, OH.

Michele departed this life on August 14, 2025, at Miami Valley Hospital.

Michele was a devoted member of Germanton Pike Church of Christ, formally known as Collegiate Heights Church of Christ, all her life. 

Michele attended Blairwood Elementary School and graduated from Jefferson Township High school class of 1977 “JT4L”.  She went on to continue her education at Sinclair Community College in Nursing, for a short time before she became ill.  Michele had many health issues, but she never complained, nor did it stop her from helping others.  Michele was known as the neighborhood “coupon lady”, she would let them know where and when the good sales began.

Michele leaves to cherish her memory, sister, Carolyn Garnes of Dayton, OH;  two brothers, George (Tequilla) Garnes and Larry Garnes Sr. both of Dayton, OH;  niece, Mariah Garnes of Columbus, OH;  three nephews, Larry Garnes Jr, Demetrius and Michael Terrell all of Dayton, OH;  great niece Keira Terrell of Dayton, OH;  six great nephews, Larry Garnes III (grandmother, Sharon Mitchell), Elijah, Lennox Garnes, Cailen and Nico Terrell all of Dayton, OH and Bryson Terrell of Cincinnati, OH;   special cousins, Cheryl Ann Norman of Rochester, NY, Christine and Virgie Garnes of Massachusetts and Ashley Garnes of Rhode Island.  Devoted family friends, Debra Ware, Amos Jeffries, Holis Carr Wooten, Joyce Dennis, Moore/Towns family, Childers family, Bryant family, Taylor/Durden family, Bentley family, Evans family, Brown family, Jouette family, Orr family, Britt/Banks family, Ida Johnson-Devaughn/Winston family and all of the Derby Road families, along with a host of loving family and friends.
