Ollie Frances Coleman, age 86 moved from her earthly home to her Heavenly home on Friday, October 2, 2020. She was a resident of Dayton and surrounding areas for over 65 years.
Ollie Frances Coleman was born in Carthage, Mississippi on April 29, 1934. She accepted Christ at an early age. After moving to Dayton with her late husband Roy Lee Coleman, she became a member of the Rockhill Missionary Baptist Church. Her gifts of service were shared as a member of the Choir and on the Hospitality committee. Outside of the church, her gifts of service were shown throughout her career as a Nurse's Aide at St. Elizabeth Medical Center until retirement. She spent the remaining years of her life as a homemaker to family, close friends, or anyone she met was welcomed. Providing food and nourishment was another one of her many gifts.
Ollie Frances Coleman was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband Roy Lee Coleman, her parents Rev. Dan P. Mann and Mother Luvenia Mann, an infant sister Hazel, and a brother Percy Jr.
Left to mourn and cherish her memory: four Children: Shirley Mann, Kenneth (Marcia), Kathy & Saundra (Christy Jackson) Coleman; four Grandchildren: Danielle (Jason) McCullar, LaTasha Coleman, James Coleman, Anthony Charles Jr.; three Great-Grandchildren: Jason and Jada McCullar, Kenmari J. Coleman; two Brothers: Leroy (Lola) and Rev. Lavon Mann; two Sisters: Daisy Miller and Annie Mason; A host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other family members and friends. A special acknowledgement to Sister Kaye Sampson and her dedicated caregiver of four and a half years Glennee Cole.
Walk-through visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 9 -11am. Mask will be required to enter. A private family service immediately follows and a live feed will be available to view via H. H. Roberts Facebook Page.
