Patricia A. Pope was born July 10, 1939 in Dayton, Ohio to James G. and Emma L. (Whatley) Layne. She departed this earthly life on Friday, November 5, 2021.
She was a graduate of Dunbar High School, class of 1957. Patricia was a regular visitor at the Roosevelt Rec Center. She was also a great baker and talented seamstress. Throughout her work years, she was employed with Miami Valley Hospital, Bowser's Market and Dryden Motors.
Preceded in death by her parents James G. and Emma L. Layne; sister Bobbie J. Layne Sneed; brother John E. Layne, special nephew Mark A. Sneed. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 60 years Tommy G. Pope; her sister Brenda L. Layne Frazier (Bruce); her aunt Margaret Sutton; her devoted niece-in-law Tia M. White; a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
