Patsy C. Reed, age 78, of Dayton Ohio was called home on December 4, 2024. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and matriarch of all her great nieces and nephews in the family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Madison and Ella Calhoun (Reid) and great nephew Britton Harrison.

Patsy leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, Garland Reed Jr., Children, Erick Reed, Andre Reed (Sheree), Tahnee Reed (Robert), Shannen Reed (Damien).  Two sisters: Ann Harrison (Elbert), Sharon Calhoun- Geter (Lewis), and one brother Gregory Calhoun of Newnan, GA. Special nephews Michael Harrison (Melanie) who she always called her son and Keith Harrison (Toni). Ten grandchildren, Ericka Reed, Eriana Reed, Miranda Perez, Jailen Reed, Jaion Reed, Jordan Reed, Amon Dennis, Dominique Qualls, Ta’Veon Reed, and British Reed.  She also leaves behind a host of great nieces and nephews and friends. Her loving four legged- fur babies, “London, India, Andy, Brittany and Bentley.” 

She is a 1964 graduate of Roosevelt High School, attended Central State University and Sinclair Community College.  Over the years Patsy was employed at Ohio Bell, Mecca Head Start, Dayton Public Schools, and an entrepreneur of her own business “Mizz Pat’s Daycare and Tutoring Services.”  She accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Corinthian Baptist Church, 700 S. James H. McGee Blvd, Dayton Ohio.   

Patsy’s passions were cooking, gardening and helping others.  She was a kind, sweet, and loving person who thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.  She will be dearly missed by all the people whose lives she touched.
