Roberta Hickman

Roberta Hickman was born November 1, 1930 in Winder, Georgia to Soloman Strickland and Mattie M. Moon. She married Charles R. Hickman, and from this union birth four children. She was a faithful member at St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church serving on many committees. She passed away on September 17, 2023

She is preceded in death by her parents, Soloman Strickland and Mattie Moon, husband Charles R. Hickman, and sisters Dorothy Moorehead and Ethel Sprewer.

She leaves to cherish her four children Frances (Ernest) Jackson Columbia, Maryland, Jacqueline (Long) WIlliam, Dayton, Ohio Jonathan (Felecia) Hickman Dayton, Ohio and Cynthia Hickman, Fayetteville, Georgia.  Roberta is also survived by her grandchildren, Kenneth, Leon and Jerry Jackson,  Danielle and Latoyia Long Ebony Hickman,  Laron Hickman and Jazmyne Anderson great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren nieces and nephews.  

Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2023  at 11:00 am at St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church, 519 Liscum Drive, Dayton, OH 45417. Viewing will be from 9:00 - until time of service. Family will receive visitors and friends from 10-11am.
