Roger Parker Obituary

Mr. Roger Parker, affectionately known as "Roger Dodger" age 67, of Dayton, Ohio, entered eternal life on March 5, 2023. He was born on December 20, 1955, in Panama City, Florida to Samuel and Mozell Parker. Later, the family moved to Dayton, Ohio.


Roger attended Dunbar High School. He became a musician early in life and professionally as a drummer and percussionist beginning in the 1970s with Faze-O, Slave, Steve Arrington's Hall of Fame, and other musical groups to which he was able to contribute his talents until his death. Roger was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ridgewood Heights.


Roger was preceded in death by his twin brother, Roderick Parker; wife, Robin Chappel; mother, Mozell Parker; father, Samuel Parker; nephew William Harden; and grandson Maleki Parker. He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Rhonda (Marcus) Jones; Tory Chappel, Roderick Parker, Dorian Parker; siblings Dino (Dr. Cynthia) Parker, Joyce Parker Elias, Pamela (Calvin) Vance; Ronnie (Maritza) Parker; grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, musical colleagues, and devoted friends.
