Ronald Lee “Shack” Shackleford of Dayton, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024.

He was born March 19, 1947, to loving parents, Lester and G. Anna N. Shackleford Sr.

A voracious reader, mystery TV Crime solver and an honorary Esthetician with immaculate skin. Ronnie’s love of many things never triumphed over his greatest love and passion- FAMILY.

After retiring from Cemex Co. with over 30 years of service, he enjoyed long walks, attending services at Greater New Hope with his wife, Lynn, watching and attending sports events with his son-in-love, Dale, and cooking. His beautiful voice could always be heard singing the lyrics of an inspirational song.

Preceded in death by parents, Lester Sr. and G. Anna N. Shackelford, Sister Frances L Shackleford, Brothers Lester Shackleford Jr. Bert Shackleford, Arthur Shackleford, and Michael Shackleford, all of Dayton.

He leaves to cherish his memory, Wife Lynn R. Shackleford; Daughters Sanita L. Shackleford and LaRonna Lee Richardson (Dale Jr.); Grandson Ronald Chappell, Sister Jacqueline A. Shackleford, Brother Anthony (Delores) Shackleford, Sister-in-love Lauretta Thomas, Niece Carla Tory, Nephew, Clinton Cutrary and ‘Glam baby’ Calani Harris (Papa’s Charlie): longtime friends Melvin Griffin and Thurman Bradley, and a host of dear relatives and friends.
