Obituary

Rose E. Johnson age 76, transitioned peacefully in her sleep on November 13, 2021. She was born in Dayton OH on December 3, 1944 to the late William R. and Tommie Sutton. She was a graduate of Paul Laurence Dunbar Class of 1963. She also attended Sinclair Community College after various career paths Rose later retired from Combined Health District of Dayton Ohio.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents William and Tommie Sutton and grandparents Henry and Lizzie Dismuke; Brothers William H and Clarence; sister Willia Shafeek and Ann Mitchell and Husband Beloid Johnson. Rose is survived by her loving children; Bobby (Kristy) Johnson, Shonda, Wendell, Yalonda, Nicquonda Johnson (Hugh). Sisters Virginia Ivery and Mamie (Sue) Dismuke.

Rose left an impressionable memory on her Grandchildren, DaSean (Tia), RaSean (Kendra), Kendall, Brenae Johnson, KriShonda Norman, TaQuon Thomas, Kacey Johnson, Kendest and Sierra.

Rose has left a lasting impact on her great Grandchildren: Lyric, Dajah, Jordin, Ra Nyah, Rameia, Kennedi, RaSean Jr, Nuri also a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Rose was a mother to many but more specifically her extended family Ter'ry Watkins, Wilbur (Herk) Norman, Letitia Johnson, Tracy Mudd, Paul Cates, Christopher Norman, Jocelyn Smith and the dearly departed Anthony Thomas. 

Rose also leaves to mourn dedicated best friends for many years Pamela Peavy, Cora Sellers, Sammie Mc Guire, Lemanuel Booker, Denia Herron and Joyce Price to name a few.

She was truly a blessing and could definitely make you laugh. She was loved by many….
