RoseMarie “Rosie” Alice Wright-Ramsey was born on August 31, 1960 in Dayton, OH. She was the beautiful and blessed daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dura “Spike” and Alice (Williams) Wright.
She departed this earthly life, peacefully, on Saturday, February 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Rosie received Christ, and was baptized, at an early age, at First Baptist Church of Ridgewood Heights where she remained a member until God called her home.
Rosie graduated from Patterson Cooperative High School class of 1978 and went on to attend Sinclair Community College where she excelled in the Nursing Program and graduated to become a Registered Nurse. From there, Rosie gained employment at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and the Dayton Veterans Administration, where she worked until she retired.
Rosie loved her parents, cherished her sons, and adored her grandchildren. Rosie could ALWAYS be seen singing all over town with her sisters, in their gospel group The Wright Sisters and The Lawyer.
Rosie is preceded in death by her loving parents, Dura “Spike’ and Alice Wright, son Lamar Wright, God parents: Sampson and Annie Maude Wright, God Brother: Samuel Wright, God Sister: Teresa Bryant and special close friend: Lula Gardner.
She is survived by two sons, Larry and Sharmeka Brame, and James E. Ramsey. She leaves to cherish her memory: her beautiful grandchildren whom she treasured greatly, loyal sisters Jocelyn Burton, J. Marlene Crane, and F. Renee Pate, and god brother Richard Wright, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends including special cousin; Denise “Niecey” Dunson, Bestie Eleanor “Ruth” Pinkard, and close friends Tammy Cranford and Jackie Davis.
Memorial Services for our beloved sister will be held, Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 1 PM at First Baptist Church of Ridgewood Heights, 116 Hanover Ave, Dayton, OH, 45417, Pastor Rodney Cranford, Officiant.
