Ruth Revere was born February 20, 1934 in West Elton, Kentucky and reared in Eaton Ohio. She was a devoted wife of the late Gilbert Revere and for many years loving mother to her dear son Todd. A doting grandmother to Loren Revere and Mackenzie Revere who were her pride and joy.

She departed this life Thursday, December 15, 2022.

A graduate of Good Samaritan School of Nursing, Dayton, Ohio and dedicated registered nurse for many years. She held a Bachelor’s Degree from Miami University and Master’s degree from The Ohio State University. She was director of nursing for over 40 years at many hospitals in the area. A compassionate friend to everyone she met. She enjoyed a wide variety of friends, loved entertaining, cooking and was an avid reader. She loved her family and will be sorely missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Laura McGinnis, beloved husband Gilbert Revere, son Todd Revere, five brothers, Robert Westbrook, Ronald McGinnis, George McGinnis, Eugene McGinnis and Charles McGinnis; sisters Edna Lewis and Vernice McGinnis

Left to cherish Ruth’s memory are her loving granddaughters Loren Revere and Mackenzie Revere; sister Cora McGinnis of New Hampshire, Norma Smitherman of Miamisburg Ohio.Sisters-in-law, Kathy McGinnis and Myrtis Zoober. Many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She loved her family and will be sorely missed.
