Obituary for Sarah Vaughn Robinson,

A Life Well-Lived in-Faith and Service.

Sarah Vaughn Robinson of Dayton, Ohio went to her heavenly home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 10, 2025, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Mount Airy, North Carolina (NC), August 31, 1962, to Bobby Gray Mittman and Sarah Lou Brim Mittman.

Sarah graduated from Mount Airy High School in 1982.  While attending High School, Sarah exemplified great responsibility as school bus driver in the department of Transportation.  Her thirst for knowledge led her to pursue further education Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem, NC.  She relocated to Dayton, Ohio where she resided with her supportive, Uncle Alfred and Aunt Dollie.  Sarah’s life was a testament to her unwavering faith and dedication to serving others.  She began her new career at Good Samaritan Hospital later becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).  Sarah later decided to continue her education and earned her degree at Miami Valley Technology Nursing College, where she attended nursing school and graduating in 2000.  Sarah’s professional career in Nursing spanned the Healthcare Agencies of Fidelity Health Care and Premier Community Health Center.  Sarah provided quality care to her patients and showed deep respect for all of their values and preferences.  She significantly impacted many lives through her compassion, dedication, and competency even as she faced illness and remained determined not to let it define her until her retirement on disability.

Sarah met the love of her life, Frederick Robinson and with her loving kindness, she captured his heart.  He fondly called her “My Sweet Country Girl,” and with little Ms. Taylor by their side, they entered into Holy Matrimony in 1996 together they celebrated their 29 years of a blessed marriage.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and a special circle of friends.  She loved traveling, gardening, being generous in spirit, helpful and bring joy to other people.  One of her most fun-filled adventures was a trip to her roots, home to Mount Airy, NC.  She also found wonder and amazement in many other scenic, beautiful places.  She looked forwards to family reunions, gatherings at Travis and Robinson families for home cooked meals, laughs and shared memories.  Every gathering she brought her warmth, wit, humor & laughter.  Sarah cherished moments filled with love, food, and joy.  She also enjoyed quiet mornings at home, reading books, watching TV late into the night, and playing games on her phone, especially Candy Crush; however, when Taylor entered into the room calling out, “Mommmmy” was one her most endearing moments.  And ohhh, how she adored and spoiled her fur-babies, Todd &Cody (dogs).

She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Bobby Gray Mittman; and Brother-in-Law, Mileage (Doris).  She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her loving, care taker and devoted husband Frederick Robinson of Dayton Ohio; one daughter, Taylor Nicole Mittman of Dayton, Ohio.
