Steven R. Crane began his life on August 5, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio. He transitioned to his heavenly home on March 29, 2023.
He was a graduate of Patterson Co-op High School, Class of 1973. He was employed and retired with UAW GM/Delphi as a skilled tradesman. After his retirement, he was a certified home inspector and helped family and friends whenever he could.
He was most passionate about serving others and teaching God’s word. He was a new convert teacher, worked in the church treasury, and faithfully taught several bible studies to family and friends. He also served the community as president and coach of the first Dayton Little League as well as a coach for Meadowdale Pee Wee football for many years. In 1980 he led the First Dayton Little League to the state championship and won. He was particularly proud of the three years he served on the Montgomery County Grand Jury.
Steve is also a jack of all trades. He could be found doing small renovation jobs for friends and family, inspecting homes, and being a DJ for parties. Steve was a lifelong music lover who introduced his kids to various artists, especially Motown artists.
