Tomasena Ruth (Bolden) Liggins, born to Ella Bankston and Cary Bolden on July 17, 1943 in Minter City, Mississippi. On November 20, 2025, she peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John W. Liggins, as well as her parents, Ella and Cary Bolden.
Tomasena leaves to cherish her memories her son, Terry Liggins, and her daughter, Lisa Williams, 12 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. Tomasena also shared a special bond with her devoted cousin, Donna Kidd, who cherished their relationship and her Granddaughter Melissa, whom she loved dearly.
Known for her loving nature, Tomasena was a dedicated grandmother and a great cook, delighting family and friends alike with her culinary skills. Her warmth and kindness were felt by many who were fortunate to know her, as she was a true friend to all.
Tomasena was a dedicated member of St. Timothy Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Missionary and Deaconess Board and sang in the Choir until her health began to decline. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, and her contributions to the church will be fondly remembered.
As we celebrate the life of Tomasena Ruth (Bolden) Liggins, we hold her memory close in our hearts. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
