Virginia B. Ivery, at the age of 84 was called home to be with our Lord on May 14, 2026. From Nashville Tennessee, born to the late William H. Sutton & Tommy E. She lived a full life, a native of Dayton, Ohio where she married George “Fat Cat” Ivery. To that union she was blessed with 5 children. She wore many hats, she was a mother, grandmother, devoted wife, confidant and lifeline to those she loved. She received her formal education through Miami Jacobs College & then went on to put her hands to work, starting at Shop Right stores, then The Monday Program, Central State University where she also did security work ,The Montgomery County Juvenile Courts system, where she worked until she later retired. Momma, Granny, Grandma, Auntie, V.I. as everyone affectionately called her, loved her family. She often expressed the importance of sticking together no matter what.
