Vivian Frances Hunt, born June 30, 1941 to Joseph Vauls and Margaret Vauls-Miles departed this life taking her heavenly father’s hand on Monday, October 4, 2021 at the age of 80. She is preceded in death by her sons Mark Alton Hunt and Morton James Hunt, II; brother, Harry Vauls; sisters Mary Adrienne Clifford, Joan Vauls-Gertrude and Evelyn Vauls.
Vivian known by her middle name Frances was born in Pittsburg, PA, but raised in Kiser, W.VA. After relocating to Dayton as a teenager, she graduated from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in 1959. On December 15, 1963, Frances was joined in holy matrimony with the love of her life Morton J. Hunt, Sr. In this union they raised three children, Mark, Natasha and Morton, II.
Frances was a member of First Wesleyan Church in Dayton, OH for 55 years, where she was a faithful member of the Usher Board. She was employed at University of Dayton and then the American Red Cross. After her youngest son Morton, II, affectionately called Baby Boy fell ill due to complications of Sickle Cell Anemia, she became his caregiver.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Morton J. Hunt, Sr. and loving daughter Natasha Hunt; step-son Tony Smith, Sr.; grandsons Javas McNair, Ian Hunt and Tony Smith, Jr.; sister-in-law Grace Vauls; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; close friends Marla Domineck and Mary McDowell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends. Frances was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Family and friends will remember her as the queen of line dancing.
