Willa M. Frost, age 88, went home to be with the Lord on September 23, 2025, after a lengthy illness.
Born to the late Willie and Karetha Jackson, Willa was one of eight children. She was preceded in death by her brothers Lloyd Jackson and Gary Jackson; her sisters Merdis Jackson and Nadine Jackson; and her beloved son, Felix Thomas Jr.
Willa was employed with Ledex Corporation for over 30 years, where she was known for her dedication, reliability, and warm spirit. She was also a devoted and lifelong member of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, where she worshipped faithfully for over sixty-two years. Her strong faith, generosity, and nurturing presence were deeply felt by all who knew her.
Willa was an avid bridge player who loved the challenge and camaraderie of the game. A savvy dresser, she was always stylish and graceful, leaving a lasting impression wherever she went. Above all, she was an all-around loving and caring woman—someone whose kindness, strength, and unwavering support uplifted generations of family and friends.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Karetha Burns; grandchildren, Bruce (Brett) Burns Jr. and Krista Matthews; and great-grandchildren, Nova and Eden Matthews, Zion James Burns, and Brenden Richardson. Additionally, she shared a special bond and leaves behind her cherished family Wyonna Chenault; her dear sisters, Barbara Jean Wilks, Annette Ellington, and Joyce Brown; as well as a host of nieces and nephews who affectionately knew her as “Aunt Pat.” Willa’s memory will also be carried on by her cousins, extended family, and many treasured friends.
Willa M. Frost, a virtuous woman, lived a life full of grace, dignity, and love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives she touched.
